Wild Card Friday

I am most likely not going to do game threads for the entirety of the playoffs, but tonight’s two first-ever one-game wild card playoff matches seem like a good place to have discussion, since the next seven hours or so of baseball ought to be pretty interesting. Will this be Chipper Jones‘ final game? Will the Orioles’ magic season end without so much as a home playoff game? Is starting Joe Saunders ever a good idea, ever?

So the one thing the Dodgers are expected to pursue is another starter. They already have an ace in Kershaw, but lack a clear No. 2 guy, someone to really complement their star left-hander.

 @LA Woman  @Frank J Lapidus That's a low blow. But still, the Dodgers need an insurance pitcher. Bills and Lilly with serious injuries, and not to mention we don't know what we'll get from Capuano and Harang.

 some medication can be cut, others cannot. the thing that i find best for patients is to give it with yogurt or some other thicker liquidy kinda thing
