Can someone please explain how Micheal Young is an upgrade of Uribe? Identical numbers, difference being Uribe is a borderline gold glove 3B

I can't wait to see a Young-Hanley-Skip-Gonzalez infield

Now that all the dust of odd-ball acquisitions has settled...my playoff roster:

Kershaw, Greinke, Ryu, Nolasco

Jansen, Rodriguez, Belisario, Howell, Wilson, Withrow, Marmol

Crawford, Puig, Gonzalez, Ramirez, Ethier, Uribe, AEllis, MEllis

Kemp, Fedex, Punto, Schumaker, Young, Gordon

League and Hairston are left off, though unless there is something on League's contract that prohibits the team from keeping him from the playoffs the he replaces Marmol.

so everyone thinks that wilson is better than marmol/league?

I like the Young for JHJ swap. So let's just hope that's all this is!

Michael Young exists to keep Juan Uribe and Adrian Gonzalez fresh for the playoffs. I would rather have Michael Young over JHJ at the corner infield positions. They're both about the same age but Michael Young has a much better line.

I dont mind Young joining us as much as ive seen around the web... He could give people breaks at a few positions down the stretch and he brings a decent bat to the team. Bench guy so people can stop comparing his almost identical stats to Uribe cuz who wants another Uribe-caliber bat right? Im fine with this trade... Rob I liked but I didnt see him wearing Dodger blue anyways unless he came up as a LOOGY.

I suspect a post regarding the playoff roster is in the works inside Mike's noggin.

DEATHMATCH between MY, JHJ JR, AND SVS. League and MARMOLUKE also to enter the Thunderdome.

OH YEAH Volquez and Capuano exist.

Howard Cole is a moron. Michael Young is terrible. That is all, good night

thought my friend's texts about michael young were trolling but deep down knew they weren't.

@nauuds3000He's not here to be an upgrade on Uribe. He's here to be a good pinch hitter (which we need) and to give rest days to infielders (which we need).

Our only weak spot is 2B where Mark Ellis, Michael Young, Punto and Skip will take turns at.

@Baseblahll I just worry about the offense keeping some consistency. It seems like we either score 5 or more, or 1 or less

@Lobo I think that's just his schtick: abrasive contrarian. Somehow he manages to be a contrarian even on issues for which there are no prevailing popular opinions.

@KMT59 the thought of JHJ JR and MY pushing SVS off the playoff roster TERRIFYS ME.

@DKDodgers The $1.7M is money Texas originally sent to Philly to cover his salary.  The Dodgers will still owe him almost $1M.

@DINGERS! @KMT59 if we have a healthy Kemp, I'm less concerned about this. SVS is fine facing the Padres in June, but I don't really want to see him in an important spot in a playoff game.

Capuano, Marmol or League... Pick one and only one.

@Catfishin @KMT59 I don't know they both been about the same with Marmol having the ability to miss bats

@Baseblahll If Kemp comes back as the player we know he can be, I am far less worried
