NLDS Game 3, Braves 3, Dodgers 4:Night of the Uribear

I could talk about how dominant Kershaw was over 6 innings without an earned run.  I could talk about my frustration with AGonz and his terrible errors.  But no, the night belongs to the Uribear with the greatest 2 run homer ever in the history of history!  Yasiel Puig hit a lead off double in the B8 and for some inexplicable reason, Juan Uribe tried to lay down a bunt.  After two failed attempts, wisdom prevailed and the Uribear said screw it and just hit a dinger.  Kenley did what Kenley does and shut out the top of the Braves order. Don’t look now, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are headed back to the NLCS! BLARP A BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Haven't read the comments, so it might have already been said...

The greatest 2-run HR of all time was hit by Kirk Gibson. This is common knowledge.

I'll give this 2nd place though! =)

Man, still wired... but it's 1:46 AM here, so I need to go sleep.  I love you all, goodnight.  (And welcome Uribear to Dodger immortality.  Do it again next Series!)

Hahaha!! Braves fans

"It’s been 10 years since a hitter of ours turned in a truly game changing performance, and it’s fucking annoying. Mac had a huge 3 run homer against Clemens in 2005, but I can’t remember the last player to truly change a game with his bat (sure Ankiel did, but it was only a solo shot). The Dodgers had 2 in this postseason alone (3 if you count that cunt Puig). I don’t know what it is that causes our team to shit the bed every postseason. And what’s worse is that everyone disrespects our team and they can because we never disprove them. We turn in the same awful performances year after year. The Dodgers had 7 home runs this series, every one of them meaningful. We had 1, a worthless home run in a game that was already decided. I don’t know what it is, but we have to lift the curse, if only to tell the rest of the Puig blowing world to fuck off"  -Stephen M,

I love all the Braves fans that think Puig is an "illegal immigrant"

I also like Kenley's reaction in the bullpen to Urbie's HR. 3 seconds of arms in the air, then DGAF anymore. Back to warming up.

I know I started posting only in February, but I went through the same emotions that you guys have for the last decade. I specifically remember the McCourts announcing their divorce right before the NLCS, and seeing the team plummet for the next 3 years. I felt the pain of the Gnats getting really lucky and winning 2 WS championships---the first due to Uribe for many reasons. Drank was going through a rough breakup at that time too. Life was unfair.

But I also remember 23 months ago when McCourt announced that he was selling the team. Utter joy and a satisfying conclusion to a rough 2011 season that brought us Kershaw and Kemp. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd see an organization transform this team from the joke that it was in 2010 and 2011 to the stud it became in 2013.

And the best part is, we still got more baseball. Here's to Friday.

Remember how awful it felt when the Giants on the LDS last year?  Imagine if they had done it with a HR from Ethier and a W from Jansen?  :D  They must be in HELL right now.

Wilson has been fantastic.  But NEVER suggest he close instead of Kenley.

Hmmm, next time we see "NEW!" here's hoping the link leads to something about Uribe.

@PuigMode sinceJune3 well i don't know about their other teams, but in this case, this braves team was a joke and had no business in the post season. only reason they got by was cuz they played in a JV league, but against elite pitching their strikeout lineup would be shut down. and they have good pitching, but in the postseason you need elite pitching or the differences in talent will just be magnified when some team decides to trot out the Best Pitcher in the Universe twice in a 5 game series.

i looked at their lineup and numbers before this all started and i was all O.o other than freeman and johnson they really have a terrible hitting team.

@NeDieterich "Why was I bunting so damn much??" should be a question he starts to ask himself
